Children’s Therapy Services Internship/Practicum

Children’s Therapy Services Internship/Practicum

AbilityPath provides early intervention therapy, child development services, and family support services for infants and young children with developmental, social, emotional, and physical differences. Our early intervention services are tailored for each child and focus on working with the parents and primary care givers. Individual classes, group sessions, and therapy sessions are held in the home or at our center, while group sessions are offered at community-based locations.

Our interdisciplinary team of early intervention teachers, speech-language pathologists, occupational therapists, and physical therapists works closely with parents to develop hands-on approaches that can be used at home and during daily activities to continue the developmental progress of the child. Developmental classes are offered for infants and toddlers. Caregiver groups are led by our early childhood special educators for educational training and support.

AbilityPath offers supervised internships and practicum to meet university requirements in the following disciplines:

  • Speech-language therapy
  • Occupational therapy
  • Physical therapy
  • Early childhood special education

For more information about therapy, please visit our Therapy page.
